Helping Wm H Brown celebrate 6 months successful trading in the High Street and raise money for Action For Family Carers on the 11th June with their raffle last Saturday. Great effort by Dave Ridgewell and the team there who raised £210.

St Mary's Church Fete

The Mayor and Mayoress together with the Deputy Mayor attended the St Mary's church fete 11th June. wonderful weather contributed to a very successful event which realised £1000 towards the running of the Church. Well done to Fr John and his team...I was the unenviable judge of the 'best dressed scooter' competition.

A rose, given to the Town Mayor by Action for Family Carers was last week planted in St Peter's churchyard opposite the Town Hall. Assisting Cllr Richard Miller was Dorreen Linton from Maldon in Bloom and CEO of Action for Family Carers, James Clarke.

The Mayor Cllr Richard Miller and Deputy Mayor Cllr Jeanette Stilts were pleased to join Mr James Mann and his many guests at The Open House event where the recently extended and refurbished rooms were on view together with a very pleasant paved rear patio area. It is good to see that more high quality accommodation is becoming available in Maldon with James is leading the way.

Saint FM last week invited Mayor of Maldon Cllr Richard Miller to their Burnham studio for what will become a regular slot 'Where is the Mayor?' The idea of station Presenter DJ Badger (Chris Ciniglio) will chart the activities of the Mayor throughout the year and include interviews and news on the Mayoral charities. You heard it there first on 94.7 Saint FM.
